“ෆ්‍රී වීසා ක්‍රමවේදය අසාර්ථකයි” කටුනායක ආ සුද්දෝ ලෝකෙටම පේන්න ලංකාවේ රෙදි ගලවයි!

ඊයේ උදෑසන මෙරටට පැමිනි සංචාරකයන් පිරිසක් නව වීසා ක්‍රමවේදය ගැන ඉතා කලකිරීමෙන් සිය අදහස් දක්වා තිබෙනවා.

සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වෙත වීඩියෝවක් නිකුත් කරමින් ඔවුන් පවසන්නේ නොමිලේ වීසා ලබා දෙන ක්‍රමවේදය ඉතා අක්‍රමවත් හා සංචාරකයන් දැඩි අපහසුතාවයට පත් කරවන බවයි.

පැය ගනනාවක් පෝලිමේ රදවා තබා ගැනීම, ඔන්ලයින් මගින් අවශ්‍ය සේවා ලබා ගැනීමට නොහැකිවීම මෙන්ම ගෙවීම් කිරීමට කාඩ් යන්ත්‍ර ක්‍රියා විරහිත වීම වැනි ප්‍රාතමික සේවාවන් වත් සැපයීමට කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපොල නිලදාරීන් අපොහොසත් වීම ඔවුන්ගේ දැඩි විවේචනයට ලක්ව තිබෙනවා.

” A frustrated tourist arriving at BIA last morning, shared her thoughts about the current Visa situation at the airport and shared videos filmed by her upon arrival.

Comments from a tourist arriving in Sri Lanka this morning from the UK.

(1) Absolute disaster. We don’t have access to any prior information before arriving in the island. There is nothing available online.

(2) We have to queue up in a huddle for hours first in front of one small counter with a man who just takes your passport and throws it into a pile.

(3) You then have to go back into the back of the queue and wait again till a woman behind a second small counter randomly picks up passports from the pile and tries to read your name or show you the photograph on the passport and you have to then push your way pass the crowd and find a way to get to the front (again after about two hours of waiting!)

(4) Once you get to the counter you are asked to pay $50 and they inform you the card machine is not working and you need to figure out a way to pay cash. If you don’t have cash in hand you have to leave the counter and go find an ATM and queue up all over again.

(5) People with any kind of anxiety have no hope of getting their visa on arrival sorted as it’s extremely claustrophobic and there is no air conditioning either so it’s very hot.

(6) It’s an absolute disaster and we had to wait for over three hours to get our visa after a long overnight flight. “
